Book Review : God is a Gamer

As Soon as I got the book yesterday I had the Itch to read the book because of the interesting title and also because of the authors previous works , I read the book at once sipping coffee and nothing else. The book is very fast paced ,so you cant get your eyes off because you want to end the thrill and want to know what is happening and how.The banking world is shown in its full dark side together with technical aspects of the modern world. The book is a sure shot read.

God is a Gamer is a corporate banking based thriller which moves from Washington’s Congress to Delhi’s finance ministry, the beaches of Goa to the corporate boardrooms of Mumbai. This is a thriller set in a money minded world where money means nothing, martyrs are villains, predators are prey, assassination is taught by the ancient Greeks, and nothing is as it seems. This is a fast paced story with multiple important characters and multiple theories running together. Its captivating and engrossing. This is just the start,

The way Ravi Subramanian has written is pretty engaging and captivating. Only glitch is in the starting where you have no idea exactly what is being talked about as the story fluctuates between places and people really fast. The book is fast paced and has multiple stories running together

Spread across few states in each of two countries, namely India and the US, this story entangles life of a genius gamer cum entrepreneur, Varun Rao, his banker and entrepreneur father, Aditya Rao, a flamboyant female, Tanya, an ambitious banker, Malavika, her talented subordinate, Swami, a finance minister, and few others in India with those of a few politicians, illegal migrants, and the FBI officials in the US.Ofcource the Indian Police and the CBI.

Lows:
There is surely an overdose of FBI and CBI and many jargons which some people might not understand,

Highs:
It is a good thriller for people interested in hi-tech stuff.

Story-line:
Fast , Interesting, Thriller , Intriguing, Unique,Well researched and well written. There are murders, presumed suicides, supposedly corrupt ministers, ambitious upper rung institutional folks in government, The Mumbai Police and several other characters which you might even forget.
