I am a Hindu Nationalist and I don't force it on anyone.

On a Personal Note I am a Hindu Nationalist.Look I am a Hindu and I put my Nation First.I am not a terrorist but the main thing is why force anything on anyone.I know religion is a personal choice but we as Indians do want to force everything.I am clarifying in the starting that its OK to follow any religion or not.Its just all right. As a society we need to chill. But as Indians we are too hot handle when it comes to religion.

Why Religion is a problem in India:As a nation we are still growing up.In western countries religion matters but not forced.but in India it cant hold true because religion is in our blood. Practical example is our society, our businessmen, our way of thinking is still related to religion. But in Metro cities that's not the case because there the society has grown up.

In this Topic I have seen people abusing religion primarily because they are fed up of all the negativity their religion beings up in their normal life but they tend to forget the positive it has brought.Well yes religion is still a personal choice and we should not force it on anybody but what we forget is the vice verse is also true.Which means if you don't believe/trust in any religion you are not allowed to abuse or force your thinking on anyone.

Some people are bold enough to say that Religion is Bullshit. Some people used the 4 letter word for religion. Some people termed it as over rated. But they all forgot it was still a choice, If you are educated enough they why force the negative.Lets say the society forced you to follow a religion by birth but you did not follow any.it was your choice,my question is why force anyone or abuse it.

For me religion must be like any other choices we make as a society. It must be treated in same way as someone treats Charity. For Example I do not believe in charity but I do believe in helping and no one has ever forced me to do charity. So to conclude I want to say that believe in your religion or don't believe in anything its just a personal choice but the problem arises when we want to force it.I am just waiting for the society to grow up.

This article has been written as a part of Indispire Campaign which provides Ideas/topics to write on.So this week the Topic is Is religion over-rated? what is your take? with a hashtag #ReligionSocialViews.

  1. That is so true - the problem arises when you are forced over it. Everyone has the right to choose any which way they want and no one should be able to force them into it

  2. Yes, everybody should have a choice. Good point.
But I also believe that there are so many negative things in almost every religion. If one believes in a religion, he should stand against those evils and make religion a healthy thing for all.

  4. There is nothing bad in religion or religious activities as long as it depends on someone's own will. But , to our chagrin , this is not the scenario ...the world has seen many a blood-soaked fight just for the sake of religion....all religion have fanatics who spread hatred towards the followers of others and there lies the foundation of increasing acrimony :-( . I would like to quote Marx .." religion is the opium of the masses "...holds so true even today..

  5. Isn't nationalism a bit outdated? Countries were going through identity crises in the 19th and early 20th centuries when nationalism became a dominant issue. But now is it an issue that is worthwhile? Especially since India has been a strong nation for decades? Shouldn't we go beyond that nation-state and look at the broader picture that includes the whole world, the planet, environment...?

  6. Well said. We are entitled to our own choice.
But, it should never be at a cost of any other religion as all preach the same lessons...
