Mani Goel |
1. Can you tell
us a little about yourself, your blog(s)/website(s),and your aspirations and
your hobbies!!
Well, my name is Mani Goel. I am an
author, spiritual healer & teacher, angel medium, artist & filmmaker.
My first book is of spiritual genre and
is entitled- Angels’ Wisdom For Your Life.
The book has been released in Hong Kong internationally, and is
available through all major online portals like Amazon.com and Barnes &
Noble.com. It was released in India in New Delhi over Christmas 2013 and is
available on flipkart. I am primarily based in Hong Kong at the moment, and
also travel widely to deliver transformational, inspirational & spiritual
healing workshops. My hobbies include – scuba diving, traveling, dancing,
singing, and photography.
2. How you first
got involved in with blogging/writing, are you an imaginative person?
I have written since an early age
and have contributed to several newspapers & magazines worldwide of various
genres. This includes avant-garde cultural, travel & lifestyle, business,
aviation political publications, spiritual & inspirational
publications. Well, yes! All my current
work is creative and spiritual. With God’ blessings, I have made a rather rapid
transition from my old life as a Flight Purser with Cathay Pacific Airways to
my new life. So you can call me highly imaginative.
3. What do you
find most challenging about blogging/writing about your topic?
I love writing about what I write
about these days- Inspirational articles about Angels, Higher self, Divine
Wisdom & spirituality and how we can enhance our personal well-being by
connecting to the higher source energy & connecting to our own higher
selves and spiritual guides. The
challenge this involves is the discipline that is required to be able to write
such work. I also teach, conduct lot of seminars, personal mentoring sessions,
so sometimes I do not have as much time as I would like to solely devote to
writing.
4. Tell me about
some of the people you have met while working on your blog?
While working on my book and even
during my work as a spiritual healer & artist, I have met lot of creative,
spiritually evolved & wonderful people. I have had the privilege to meet
some enlightened spiritual teachers. And even people who have chosen to leave
very comfortable life styles and careers to fulfill their higher calling in the
world. A lot of people I come across are highly successful in their respective
fields such as lawyers, bankers, entertainment professionals, designers,
entrepreneurs and have this growing urge to now transcend the material
existence and connect to the spiritual. A lot of people who I teach and mentor
are already quite spiritually evolved. I also mentor a lot of children these
days and love it. I recently met with a wonderful large group of students
during a talk at a school in India and was amazed by their interest in my book
and spirituality. They wanted to know more and more about my work. I love
talking to people, and learning of their stories, their inspirations and
dreams.
5. How would
(someone) describe your blogging/writing style?
Natural
and conversational. I have been told that my work is easy to read and I am able
to deliver deep messages & insights in a simple and easy to understand
manner. I take it as a complement.
6. What do you
do when you are not working on your blog?
I am either writing, or teaching, doing
distance healings for people, meditating, seeing clients for personal sessions,
painting or filming (my second film- a documentary). When I am not doing any of
the above, I am spending time with my parents, and family, traveling, cooking,
running, hiking, cycling, swimming, watching movies, dancing or spending time
in nature.
7 . Where do you
see yourself blogging/writing wise in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the
road?
Hopefully in six months time, I
would have Part 2 of my book- Angels’ Wisdom For Your Life- released and
finished writing & editing Part 3. This would complete Angels’ Wisdom
Trilogy. In 5 years down the line, I hope I have at least five (or more) books
published & released internationally and be bestsellers. Amen.

8. What
networking do you do that you feel helps your blogging/writing business?
These days, I have little time for
networking. Holding seminars, talks, and workshops is one way for me to reach
more people and this is how people know me as well. I also use social media to
connect with friends from various parts of the world. I have my official page
on Facebook and it has been very useful. I am trying to get back on twitter,
and also want to get more active on my blog- www.lovenlighten.com.
So you could say, most of my
networking is online and through personal contacts and word of mouth publicity.
9. How do you
keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with
coming up with different articles/posts and they only have one blog.
I have no shortage of topics to
write about. Ideas & thoughts are
always percolating down and I find hard to keep up. I am currently working on
my fifth book, and have so far released only one. Plus, I am getting more
active writing articles for various publications.
10. What’s your
strategy with your blog in general?
I don’t have any strategy as such.
I just write from my heart and in as truthful manner as possible.
11. Any specific
tips you have for newbie bloggers who want to make it in the blogosphere?
For all aspiring authors, I would
say –keep writing. Writing is but a small part of your journey, as one realizes
when one has a ready product or a book that has to be brought into public or in
the market place. However, it is still the most crucial aspect. So be
disciplined about it and do not get discouraged by initial rejections. These
days, it is a lot easier for a writer or an author to express him or herself,
as there are several new and alternative platforms available alongside
traditional publishing platforms. Plus, self-publishing and digital publishing
has really altered the power of balance. So if you haven’t yet been able to
publish a book through traditional route, you can start blogging or share your
book in separate chapters on your blog or some other specialized online
platform that caters to your genre.
E-books are doing great too. And are a wonderful way to share your work
and establish credibility especially if you are in an inspiration and spiritual
genre.
12. What would
you prioritize? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers?
If I have to talk about my blog or
even my book, it has to be Content first & foremost. Content is the Master.
Then come Readers, SEO & Traffic in that order.
13. What is the
best thing a blogger can give to his readers?
Honesty, Truthfulness, Objectivity,
Generosity, Kindness.
14. A lot of
people are interested in blogging/writing for the money earning potential. What
are some tips for people interesting in making money from blogging/writing?
What are some realistic expectations in regards to what can be made?
As far as writing or even blogging
is concerned. Yes! It can be turned into a career that supports your living.
However, it takes time, lot of hard work and patience. I think it is a good
idea to initially have a job to support you and your aspirations as an author.
As you begin to make enough money, you can take it up full-time. Though, I have
to admit, I went the other way. I wrote my first book and my other works after
quitting my very comfortable and glamorous job. My writing however, is
connected to my work as a spiritual healer & teacher.
15. What
motivates you most in life?
Being able to share this
information, wisdom and knowledge with as many people as possible. Make a
difference and create a positive impact in people’s lives. To be able to help
people lead a more fulfilling, happier, peaceful, transformed life in alignment
with their highest purpose and creating a better world, one book at a time, is
what motivates me.
16. What has
been your strategy for creating visibility to yourself and your blog?
My writing is tied up with my
spiritual healing and transformational work. It is one part of a wider body of
work I undertake through my company- Mani Healing. So I teach a lot,
participate in or create inspirational events and conduct personal mentoring
sessions. As opposed to focusing too much on direct marketing of my book, so
far I have allowed all my work to do the talking. It is all about how people
view you, your integrity and the relationship you build with your readers and
your audience. I also contribute write-up to online and print publications. It
helps with the visibility and creates brand awareness. There are a lot more
developments taking place behind the scenes that I can’t talk about write now.
17 What was the
most challenging moment in your blog content development process and why?
My book is of spiritual genre. I
have received these spiritual messages from higher and ascended realms. I did
not just write this book based on my existing knowledge, these spiritual
messages came to me. So to be in that state of ascension and connection while
going through your daily life & mundane activities is not always easy.
While writing my book, I had altered my diet to mostly juices and liquids (all
vegetarian), my phone used to be switched off, I was spending three to four
hours in nature everyday, as when you are in nature; you are able to deepen
your spiritual connections. Before commencing my writing every day, I would
meditate. I had cut down most of my social engagements and avoided crowds (I
still do). Sometimes, while I was writing, the energy would be too strong and I
would get head aches and needed to sleep for hours on end. So I would say, the
discipline that went into writing my first book was a big challenge at the
time. Later I got used to it as a way of life.
18. Everyone has
a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?
I can’t think of any post of mine
that I don’t like. I can’t really comment on what other people write.
19. Name some of
the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
I like everything to do with
spirituality and inspirations. So the blogs or website I visit most are of this
genre as well. Of course I love my blog- www.lovenlighten.com and
my book blog- www.angelswisdomforyourlife.com . These are works in progress.
As for authors, some of my favorite
authors are - Paramhamsa Yogananda, Paulo Coelho, Neale Donald Walsch, Kahlil
Gibran, Rabindra Nath Tagore, William Shakespeare, Edgar Cayce, Doreen Virtue,
Diana Cooper, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Ruskin Bond, Munshi Premchand, Ayn
Rand, J.K. Rowling, John Keats, Mirza Ghalib, Rumi, Carl Jung and several other
ancient and accomplished authors who have given us some of the greatest books
and words of wisdom. I also admire James Redfield, author of Celestine Prophecy
& Tenth Insight and Robin Sharma for what they achieved with their first
books that had both been initially self-published. Lord Valmiki for giving us
Ramayana. Mahayogi Patanjali for giving us YogaSutras, the great masters and
wise ones who wrote Vedic scriptures and all those great beings who have
written spiritual texts belonging to various faiths in different parts of the
world. All these spiritual works have sprung from higher dimensions.
20. What is the
story behind the name of the blog?
My blog is called- www.lovenlighten.com. This name came to me when I was thinking of a name that could be an apt
description of what my blog stands for. So my blog is all about gentle,
peaceful, loving, enlightening and uplifting messages from Angelic Realm and
spiritual & inspirational writings that help people connect with their own
divine center and inner light.
As for my book- it is a compilation
of wisdom messages I received or channeled from Angelic and Ascended Realms. It
is a trilogy. Part 1 has been published internationally and released in Hong
Kong and in India. The first part contains messages I received about topics of
general interest such as- marriage, love, money, anger, angels, meaning of
life, etc- explaining them in a practical manner from a higher and spiritual
perspective. Hence the name- Angels’ Wisdom For Your Life, Part 1 (Part 2 &
3 will be coming out soon)
21. Your
connection with any Blogger Network like Indi blogger or Writeupcafe or any
other and the experience?
Not really, I am rather new to the
blogging universe.
22. Which genre
do you feel gets the raw deal?
Hmmm, I think comedy and poetry in
the print publishing world. I am not sure about blogging. I have yet to come
across a well-developed angelic, spiritual & inspirational blog though. I
am hoping to change it with my blog- www.lovenlighten.com
23. Which one
plug-in would you suggest all bloggers to have?
Social Media Floating Bar and SEO
plug-in are what I would suggest to all bloggers.
24. Five
adjectives that describe you.
Beautiful, Creative, Angelic,
Sensitive, Wise,
25. What book
would you say has made the biggest impact good or bad on you?
It is difficult for me to suggest a
single name. All the books that I have read have brought me where I am and
impacted me in a profound manner at the time I read them. You then evolve to be
touched by next great book. But if I have to name one then it would be Bhagwad
Gita amongst spiritual texts and Fountain Head as non-spiritual though
philosophical text. I read both around the same time too.
26. Do you get easily provoked by
positive/negative comments??
No!
27. Do you plan
to write a book, as every bloggers dream it is?
Angels’ Wisdom For Your Life, Part
1, get your copy on flipkart. Out in book stores, India wide- June 2014. Also
available currently at the New Delhi World Book Fair- Hall No. 14, Stall No.
30.
28. Are you a
judgmental person; do you prefer to take sides instead of standing neutral?
I am not judgmental. I won’t be
doing what I am doing, if I was easily provoked or judgmental. I am discerning
though. Taking sides? It really depends on the context.
29. Your
collaboration with other bloggers, are you much into social networking, tell us
everything about it?
Yes! I am planning to collaborate
with some bloggers. I am quite active on Facebook. Not yet on twitter but will
be getting there soon. Reason I abandoned twitter is because it requires
constant attention that I was not able to dispense at the time. But now as an
author, I would like to engage with a larger audience, hence I am going to
start tweeting again soon.
30. What genre
attracts you the most and which genre you avoid?
Spiritual, Inspirational,
Non-Fiction attract me most, fables, short stories do too. I avoid Crime and
anything to do with violence and excessive human behavior.
31. Your Views
on Contests and increasing plagiarism?
Well, it has always been there. One
can’t really avoid it. You can just put your protective measures up.
32. Words for me
and my blogs Desire v/s Destiny and Blogger Interviews and my Website www.MyMagicJobs.com
I think you are doing well and are
very sweet, enterprising, understanding and accommodating.
33. On winning
the Award/s, Are they really necessary.
I think in all industries, awards
are a good way to garner some kind of hype, recognition, and visibility,
perhaps even credibility. But not having received one does not mean you don’t
have the above. Life goes on and most successful people I know, don’t even care
about awards.
34. So what’s
Next in your list?
Bringing my Inspirational &
Transformational Workshops to India. Travel more and teach more. Edit Part 2 of
Angels’ Wisdom, finish writing Part 3 and also start working on my next book.
Streamline and update my blog. Write, write and write. Also finish my second
film-a documentary.
35.Words for
your readers and why they should follow you?
To get re-connected with your
heart, soul and your true self for a peaceful, more fulfilling life. Heal your
body, mind and spirit of any past trauma and move forward in your lives with
greater clarity, confidence and determination to have a great & positive
impact on this world.
For daily dose of
inspiration, to discover your higher self, and attain spiritual growth and
greater understanding about yourself. I am also here to remind you, that you have
infinite potential waiting to be tapped within you.

On Spiritual Healing
How did you get into
spiritual healing?
I first started doing healings during my
meditations. At the time, I had not received any training or attended any
healing related courses, but it felt right. I was being transported to a
different state during meditations, I would do healings and then finish my
meditations knowing fully well what I was doing but I did not know how to
describe it. I wasn’t able to explain it to anyone else. Soon after this
experience, I began to run into healers and teachers on the streets, in
restaurants, socially. So I decided to attend a few courses to understand what
I was doing, to be able to get some technical knowledge and give a name to it.
At this time, I was already on a spiritual path and was meditating everyday for
hours and hours. So you can say, I became cognizant of my gift of healing as a
result of my spiritual awakening, and this gift then enabled me to grow further
spiritually and undergo a speedy spiritual evolution.
What motivated you to do
spiritual healing?
It is a gift that can benefit and serve the
world. It allows me to help people, their families, and loved ones, even their
pets. It can transform, heal and save lives, bring joy and happiness. It brings
more spiritual energy and light on this planet and helps to create a better,
more peaceful world. And so I continue to do this. Being a spiritual healer is
an intrinsic part of my identity. It is who I am.
What's the best experience
during spiritual healing?
The best experience is when you actually witness
the transformation of your client or the people you are taking care of. I also
work as a personal mentor and do angel & spiritual readings, and life
coaching sessions where I provide guidance to people about their lives, career,
relationships, help them with the correct path to choose, discover their true
selves and it is extremely fulfilling for me to see people light up when they
leave Mani Healing office after just one session or the progress they make on
an ongoing basis. Besides, I have taken care of people with some very serious
ailments like cancer, heart diseases and several other serious emotional and
physical issues including some issues that are connected to past lives. And then you see these people getting healed,
living happier or lives being saved. Miracles take place. Words can’t describe
what one feels at that moment. I just thank God and feel blessed that God chose
me to do this work and to teach it as well. I am not the doer, simply the
connection between heaven and you, simply an Angel Whisperer connecting you to
your own light and divine state of being.
I am now preparing to conduct workshops to train
more healers and next level of teachers.
For more details you can visit my website:
www.mani-healing.com
What difficulties you had
to face during the start up?
I had never planned to set a formal healing
practice or to set up a spiritual enterprise so to speak. But I was called out
to do so after being a closet healer and counselor for few years. And I kind of
put my other creative work and my filmmaking career on hold to do this, and to
write my book.
To be honest when my website was first launched,
I had no clue about marketing or about how to run a holistic and spiritual
wellness enterprise. But then I got involved with some other wellness centers
in Hong Kong as a guest practitioner and teacher and learnt a lot. I also
learnt that it was alright for a spiritual healer (like myself) to charge a
fees, as it is basically an energy exchange and this is also a form of service
that we provide like any other professional service provider. Then came the
marketing aspect and getting the word out there about what you do. I think, I haven’t
yet done enough and there is so much more to do. But all my learning has been
on the job. So you can say I have been on a very steep learning curve for quite
some time. Now with all the technology at our fingertips, there are lot of
platforms available for entrepreneurs to create awareness about their work and
products but then, there is an equal amount of work to be done as well. As a
spiritual healer and teacher, my main focus is people who come to see me, and
my students.
How did you landed up in hkg?
I first went to Hkg to start working as a flight
attendant with Cathay Pacific Airways.
Your India connection
Your
family and friends?
I have family in India, my parents divide their
time between India and Hong Kong and I spend at least 2 months every year in
India. Besides, now with my first book getting released in India, I’ll be
spending more and more time here. We are also working on a workshops schedule
for India and I will also be available for personal mentoring sessions during
this time.
How can we contact you for your
sessions
You can email me at- manihealing@gmail.com . Or you can
even contact me on Facebook- manigoelauthor888.
I provide distance healing sessions too for
serious ailments. Plus I do Angel Readings, Spiritual Mentoring and Life
Coaching Sessions via Skype or Telephone as well. If you wish to see me in
person, I’ll be in India in March for a few days and you can make an
appointment in advance by calling- 022-28813414. Besides, we will be making an
announcement soon about my workshops schedule for India. So people can attend
those, if they wish to develop the gift of Healing and Angelic Guidance to
enhance all areas of their lives and have more peace & happiness, develop
an alternative career path, and also help their families, loved ones and other
people. The book is now available in India on FLIPKART.COM
