Book review of Thousand Unspoken Thoughts by Prerna Khatri

The book Thousand Unspoken Thoughts is a collection of 50 sweet poems which are soothing on mind.Anyways I got this book from Prerna and I had literally no expectations as I only got to know her when I took her Interview for this blog.Even after the interview I was not sure what to expect from this book.I personally like short fiction than poems but this book actually was so light on my mind that I finished it in one go only to later come back and re read the selective ones which I liked. But ,Wow I have never come across a poem collection which is written by an armature who is using the skill of poem writing to show what she sees and how she sees and is actually an advocate by profession and yet written so sensitive in her poems. The poems are not heavy on mind and are refreshing.

The poem collection moves from different perspectives of life and how the poet sees it.which you can connect with. The poems do look like someones debut poems but every word is constructed beautifully and has its own charm. The rhyme formation is simple and easy to understand and you feel like you connect with it someway or the other.Yes,there are emotions involved with each and every poem but they are light and you get a sense of what they imply. Some of my favorite lines are as below :

Also as soon as the book starts it engrosses you with something you want to read and know what makes the poet wrote it. here is a look at what I am talking about , i dont want to give spoilers so , buy the book and read what she wants to tell and how she sees the things.

Now if the above few first lines from the book makes sense to you , you have to buy this book and read all the amazing work she has done.If you are one of those who dont like to read poems because they are heavy on mind and difficult to understand this book will change that notion.

Overall the book is a onetime read and is very easy to understand. The book is short lengthen ,can be read in a day is light on the mind as well.We wish her all the best and congratulate on her debut book and all the best for Masters in International Business and Commercial Law.Not to forget she is already working on her upcoming poem collection.

Overallrating : 4/5

Blogger Interview with Prerna Author of Thousand Unspoken Thoughts

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself, your book, and your aspirations and your hobbies!!
Hi, my name is Prerna and I am currently pursuing my Masters in International Business and Commercial Law at the University of Manchester. I began writing when I was in school, but serious writing began when I was in college pursuing my Undergraduate Degree in Law. Writing for me was a means of channeling my thoughts as I read and thus, began the journey. When I started writing poetry, I wasn’t writing it with an aim to publish it or make a collection out of it. In that sense, I am a selfish write. I used to write for myself because writing made me happy. Looking out for publishers and sending out my manuscript was an impromptu decision, hoping that something might work out. I have been lucky honestly that I one of such emails brought back a positive response and my wonderful publishers, LeadStart Publishing, agreed to publish it.
Besides studying the law and writing poetry, I’m an avid reader and can read almost anything. I’m a trained classical dancer, but have been out of touch with the stage for the last 2-3 years.
2. How did you first get involved in with writing, are you an imaginative person?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a reader first and then a writer. My life as a reader has helped me form a voice which helps me in writing. I think I consider myself an imaginative person, and that has sprung from reading books of various genres.

3. How would (someone) describe your writing style?
I think if people were to describe my writing style, they’d probably say that I write with a moral. Probably kinds where everything falls into place in the end, or that I just end my poems on a happy/positive note because personally I believe that everything does have a happy ending or rather things do end positively depending upon one’s perspective. I think since this is my debut, I am yet to explore different styles and I don’t want to be restricted to a specific style or a kind of writing that defines me, especially since this is just the beginning.

4. Where do you see yourself writing wise in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the road?
I think as of today, I see myself working on my next book in the next six months. I’m trying to understand the response of the readers, and simultaneously, trying to venture into new opportunities. 5 years down the lane, I would probably expect myself to have found a certain voice that I can associate myself with confidently. I want try writing prose as well, and have a mind-map of how I want things to go. I hope things work out as planned!

5. Any specific tips you have for newbie writers who want to make it in big?
I think hesitation and under-confidence is one of the biggest road-blocks for any new writer. For any writer to eventually make it big, one must be willing to get out of the closet and explore every opportunity that comes their way, even if the smallest means of leaving a mark behind. I’d probably just say that start small, take baby-steps every day and things will fall in place.

6. What’s the best thing a writer can give to his readers?
As a reader, what I look for is the feeling of being able to relate. A lot of people find some amount of comfort in reading a particular writer’s book after having read the first one they’ve written, that whatever they release their next book, the readers pick it up being sure that they’ll like it. I want to be one such writer where people reach out and say that they were able to relate to what I have written I want to be able to form that bond with my readers and as a writer, I want to be capable enough to give them that.

7. What motivates you most in life?
A good book and a cup of coffee. That’s all it takes.

8. What book would you say has made the biggest impact good or bad on you?
The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho.

9. What genre attracts you the most and which genre you avoid?
I don’t think there are genres I avoid, but I prefer Literary and Narrative Fiction.

10. Do you get easily provoked by positive/negative comments??
I think every writer is exposed to both positive and negative reactions to their books and that is something no one can avoid. Positive comments, obviously make me very happy, but I don’t think I get provoked by negative comments that easily. I wonder why has it been said, quite naturally, but I take that as a stepping stone and work on the feedback given to me.

11. So what’s next in your list?
Currently, I am working on my second collection of poems and eventually, I hope to explore other genres/styles of writing.

12. Words for your readers and why they should follow you?
Firstly, I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone who has enjoyed and appreciated my first book, “Thousand Unspoken Thoughts” and would like to thank each and every reader out there for their immense support. I think the only thing I require as a writer is support from my readers, and I hope as I experiment with different styles, I receive the same kind of support and encouragement that I have received with my debut.

13. Words for me and my blogs Desire v/s Destiny and Blogger Interviews and my Website www.MyMagicJobs.com
I would like to thank www.MyMagicJobs.com and specifically Mr. Rahul Miglani for this opportunity and hope that we will have a chance to interact once again in the future.

Book Review of Until I Met You by Ishani Malhotra

Until I Met You’ is Ishani's debut contemporary romance novel releasing from Harlequin, India. The plot of my book is set in Calcutta.
I am trying to avoid spoilers here but the story explores that how in today’s generation the youth has to go through several hurdles in their love lives. So this book revolves around the transition from lover to soul mate but it shows how in today's times the love life goes through practical as well as emotional difficulties..This book also talks about the mistakes and difficulties today's young people are facing with their relationships with respect to their career orientation.
The story is written in first person and it is very very easy to like the narrator who is a young beautiful girl.It is a romantic novel but it has its space for comedy as well as dramatic scenes. As a debut novel she has done a great work with simple English , not too much drama and detailed perspective on things. The young girl is the one who every reader will relate to and definitely will like.Even the male readers would relat
e to the practical problems she has to face in her love life.
Overall the book is a onetime read and is very easy to understand. The book is short lengthen ,can be read in a day is light on the mind as well , if you enjoy reading romantic novel which are contemporary and very much relatable you will certainly enjoy this book.We wish her all the best and congratulate on her debut book.

Interview with Ritika of Illicit chrysalism

1.       Can you tell us a little about yourself , your blog(s)/website(s),and your aspirations and your hobbies?
I am the author of illicitchrysalism.wordpress.in and go by Ritika. I am from Ahmedabad and currently am slogging towards my 12th board exams. I shall hopefully pursue Honours in English, next year. Oh well, at the risk of sounding conceited I wish to author a book; nothing fancy though, just a collection of short relatable pieces of writing.

2.       How you first got involved in with blogging/writing, are you an imaginative person?
Always known to be a wordsmith, blogging had always been a milestone I wished to mark. But I never really had the patience to sit through the entire ‘buiding your base’ process. Well all that until now when I actually set my heart to doing it. And here I am.

3.       What do you find most challenging about blogging/writing about your topic?
The most challenging part of writing like I do that I have come across is to not be repetitive. Usually most my works are short romantic fiction, but I manage to throw in a few motivational pieces.

4.       Tell me about some of the people you have met while working on your blog?
There are quite a few people who manage to find my blog in this intense world of writing. Let me just say that they have been very loyal readers and I am immensely thankful to them for keeping up with me.

5.       How would (someone) describe your blogging/writing style?
The best that I had heard someone say was that it was ‘Magical Realism’. But then it actually is that way. It is very basic human emotions weaved into words to make them look beautiful. And most importantly, this is my usp. I can safely say that all my readers follow me because they can relate to what I write and enjoy the way that I do.

6.       What do you do when you are not working on your blog?
Let me just say that I am a very bad mother to my blog. When I’m not studying is when I actually write.

7 .Where do you see yourself blogging/writing wise in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the road?
In the very near future I want to have a sound background with my works published on good writing websites. And five years down the line, I definitely want to have authored a book.

7.       What networking do you do that you feel helps your blogging/writing business?
I keep posting excerpts from my articles on my account on Instagram. Also my author pages on Teenink and WritersAsylum have a link to my blog. I also pay attention and reply to each comment on my blog.

8.       How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts and they only have one blog.
I am very observant.  There are usually some moments when I am watching a movie or listening to some music when random lines strike me. I jot down every single one of them and when the idea matures to a certain extent, I sit down to put it on paper.

9.       What’s your strategy with your blog in general?
Nothing specific, per se.

10.   Any specific tips you have for newbie bloggers who want to make it in the blogosphere?
It will be difficult at first to gain a secure reader base, but keeping writing and you are sure to get noticed one day. It is a very rewarding experience.

11.   What would you prioritize? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers?
Most definitely, readers and content.

12.   What’s the best thing a blogger can give to his readers?
An insight to his own life. Readers are hungry for something which tells them that they are not  the only one in their mess.

13.   A lot of people are interested in blogging/writing for the money earning potential. What are some tips for people interesting in making money from blogging/writing? What are some realistic expectations in regards to what can be made?
I haven’t taken any steps towards monetizing my writing. I am not the correct person to be giving my advice on this subject.

Appreciation and Acknowledgement.

It’s like asking me to choose between my children, I can’t.

Honestly, they are two beautiful words in perfect sounding harmony.

21. Your connection with any Blogger Network like Indi blogger or Writeupcafe or any other and the experience?

24. Five adjectives that describe you.
Intelligent, sassy, eloquent, opinionated and funny.

1.Content : I can only say you are doing a great job.You are writing on so many topics which are straight from your heart and its really amazing. The poems you write are relatable and its really picturesque.I have read "NOTES TO WHOEVER ORGANISES MY FUNERAL" and its the best post I have read in recent times , Do give it a read guys.

2.Uniqueness: The website is not unique , its as simple as it gets but what is written in the posts is cool and nicely narrated .So we wont mind the simpleness of the blog.

3.Activity:The blog is active but there are very less amount of comments,Try to get involved , try to get more people to read your blog .You never know what people can suggest .So just try to have a little more activity on your blog.Have some contests , indulge in more reading and commenting on other blogs.Do a collaboration.

4.Appearance:The landing page lands at the title and then the users have scroll down below to see the content , which is may be just may be non attractive. There are no pages as such so the user will really have to scroll down to see anything .Its a wordpress blog so the follow button at the below right solves the purpose of thw widget.

5.Navigation:The navigation is the simplest even if you click the title of the blog , you are still at the same page.So as a user you will always have to scroll down to see whats next. Its only at the bottom that you get to see the labels and previous posts which is simple for some and boring for some.

6.Technically :
Your blog is not indexed by Google.
powered by

Your blog is not indexed by Bing. Consider reducing the number of posts on the front page so it loads faster

Interview with Harnidh Kaur Author of The Inability of Words

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself ,your blog(s)/website(s),and your aspirations and your hobbies!!
Well, I run foreverawkwardandlearning.wordpress.com, and my first book, The Inability of Words, is out in 2016 with Writer's Workshop, Calcutta. I'm currently pursuing my Masters in Public Policy from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and I'm an aspiring civil servant. I also run a food blog on Instagram, @foreverawkwardandeating.

2. How you first got involved in with blogging/writing, are you an imaginative person?
I started writing seriously in around 7th grade, and had my phase of Facebook notes and WattPad before actually getting into blogging in first year of college. It's been quite a rollercoaster. I've always been super imaginative, so this was a great way to channelise it.

3. What do you find most challenging about blogging/writing about your topic?
I write poetry, so it's really easy to veer into pretentious writing. Keeping it honest and real are definitely the biggest challenges.

4. Tell me about some of the people you have met while working on your blog?
I actually haven't met too many people. My writing is pretty solitary.

5. How would (someone) describe your blogging/writing style?
I write honest, real, and accessible poetry.

6. What do you do when you are not working on your blog?
I'm studying! Masters is pretty intense, haha.

7 .Where do you see yourself blogging/writing wise in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the road?
My book comes out in the next 6 months and I'm besides myself with excitement! I have a few really cool projects lined up, and I'm starting work on a novel. So it's going to be a busy, hectic time.

8. What networking do you do that you feel helps your blogging/writing business?
None, actually. I don't even tag my posts. All the traffic I get is from word of mouth and that's the best bit.

9. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts and they only have one blog.
Hm, I read a lot. I keep observing things, and jotting them down. I never, ever delete drafts. A giant post of average quality may have a single spectacular idea that works. I've given two TEDx talks on the importance of creativity, and I'll tell you what I tell everyone. Just keep writing. Keep practising.

10. Whats your strategy with your blog in general?
Nothing, per se. I write first for myself, then for everyone else. I'm pretty sure that actually contributes a lot to my readership.

11. Any specific tips you have for newbie bloggers who want to make it in the blogosphere?
Be honest to yourself. Don't chase trends. Write what you want to. It's only when you stop living up to standards that you create your own.

12. What would you prioritize? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers?
My content is what sells me.

13. Whats the best thing a blogger can give to his readers?
Something to think about.

14. A lot of people are interested in blogging/writing for the money earning potential. What are some tips for people interesting in making money from blogging/writing? What are some realistic expectations in regards to what can be made?
I don't earn a penny from my blog, so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

15. What motivates you most in life?
The possibility of inspiring someone.

16. What has been your strategy for creating visibility to yourself and your blog?
I just write. That's all. I write, and I write well. The visibility comes itself.

17 What was the most challenging moment in your blog content development process and why?
For every 3-4 poems you write, *one* is good. That editing is...tough.

18. Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?
Haha, it's like choosing between my children!

19. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
None.

20. What is the story behind the name of the blog?
Well. I'm really awkward. And I'm insanely curious. Hence, ForeverAwkwardAndLearning.

21. Your connection with any Blogger Network like Indi blogger or Writeupcafe or any other and the experience?
 -
22. Which genre do you feel gets the raw deal?
Poetry! No publishers, no marketing, and we're called silly. It's so very frustrating.
23. Which one plug-in would you suggest all bloggers to have?
-
24. Five adjectives that describe you.
Passionate, aware, intelligent, funny, opinionated.

25. What book would you say has made the biggest impact good or bad on you?
Ah, has to be the Harry Potter series.

26. Do you get easily provoked by positive/negative comments??
Not at all. I've learned how to block out hate.
27. Do you plan to write a book, as every bloggers dream it is?
The Inability of Words is releasing in 2016!

28. Are you a judgmental person, do you prefer to take sides instead of standing neutral?
I'm a debater, so I tend to analyse things from all sides possible.

29. Your collaboration with other bloggers, are you much into social networking, tell us everything about it?
I'm pretty big on social media. My Instagram (@iharnidh) has a lot of my work on #nidhscraps.

30. What genre attracts you the most and which genre you avoid?
Poetry. I dislike cheesy romance.

31. Your Views on Contests and increasing plagiarism?
I don't really do contests, but plagiarism is the single most painful thing a creator can face. It's terrible.

32. Words for me and my blogs Desire v/s Destiny and Blogger Interviews and my Website www.MyMagicJobs.com
So much cool work!

33. On winning the Award/s , Are they Really necessary.
Of course not.

34. So whats Next in your list?
Writing, obviously, haha.

35.Words for your readers and why they should follow you?

I can't promise you the world, but I can give you perspectives that will rattle your own.
